We are looking for a reliable and proactive WordPress Developer to join us part-time to help manage, maintain, and build WordPress websites.Role Overview:As a Part-Time WordPress Developer, you’ll be responsible for maintaining existing WordPress blogs, creating new websites (including directory-style sites), and ensuring our web properties are functional, secure, and optimized for performance. The ideal candidate is highly self-motivated, technically sound, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain existing WordPress blogs (updates, backups, plugin/theme management).
- Build and customize new WordPress websites, including directories and niche blogs.
- Implement SEO best practices, optimize site speed, and ensure mobile responsiveness.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to WordPress themes, plugins, or hosting.
- Collaborate with content and design teams to implement new features or layouts as needed.
- Ensure all sites are secure, regularly updated, and performing well.
Requirements:
- Proven experience building and managing WordPress websites.
- Strong understanding of WordPress architecture, themes, plugins, and page builders (e.g., Elementor, WPBakery, etc.).
- Familiarity with directory and listing plugins like GeoDirectory, Business Directory Plugin, or similar tools.
- Basic understanding of HTML, CSS, PHP, and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of SEO principles and performance optimization tools.
- Ability to work remotely with minimal supervision and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Based in Nigeria with access to reliable internet.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with WooCommerce or other eCommerce platforms.
- Familiarity with tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and security plugins.
- Graphic design skills (e.g., Canva, Figma, or Photoshop).
