Job Title: Site Manager (Construction / Fit-Out)

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Site Manager to join our dynamic Projects team. 
  • This role is crucial to the successful execution of construction and fit-out projects, overseeing site operations, coordinating teams, and ensuring that all project components are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. 
  • The ideal candidate will combine technical knowledge with strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Site Assessment and Analysis:

  • Conduct detailed evaluations of project sites to assess suitability for construction or fit-out works.
  • Identify site-specific risks and opportunities to guide planning and execution strategies.

Dispute Resolution:

Recruitment and Team Management:

  • Lead recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding of site engineers.
  • Ensure team members are equipped with the training and tools needed to succeed.
  • Conduct performance reviews and mentoring sessions.

Tools and Resource Management:

  • Oversee procurement, allocation, and inventory of tools, materials, and equipment.
  • Implement systems to track and manage resource usage effectively.

Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Enforce strict adherence to quality standards, client requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Implement and maintain robust quality assurance systems and processes.

Site Supervision and Coordination:

  • Lead all on-site operations and manage progress to ensure timely, cost-effective, and quality delivery.
  • Conduct regular site reviews with engineers and field staff, resolving challenges as they arise.
  • Foster a productive and collaborative work environment across all site teams.

Health, Safety, and Incident Management:

  • Enforce and monitor compliance with health and safety regulations across all projects.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans.
  • Proactively identify and mitigate potential hazards to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in site management within the construction or interior fit-out industry.

Skills and Competency Requirements:

  • Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of civil works, architecture, and MEP systems. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, MS Word/Excel is a plus.
  • Construction Experience: Proven track record in both exterior construction and interior fit-out projects.
  • Leadership: Confident leader capable of influencing teams, driving performance, and maintaining site discipline.
  • Contract Knowledge: Comfortable working with contract and subcontract documentation.
  • HSE Focus: Committed to upholding safety standards and maintaining compliance across all projects.
  • Detail-Oriented: High attention to detail with a commitment to quality and excellence.
  • Process-Oriented: Ability to implement systems and use data-driven approaches to improve project outcomes.
  • Site Management: Strong capability in scheduling, coordinating vendors, and overseeing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Project Management: Familiarity with project timelines, milestones, and workflows.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; able to interface with clients, artisans, and technical teams effectively.

Salary

N350,000 Monthly.
