The teams here at Lemonade Finance are passionate about their work and fields of expertise, but also lend hands on cross-functional responsibilities to ensure the success of the company and the satisfaction of our clientele.What You’ll Be Doing:The role of the Bank Reconciliation Officer, Nigeria, is a HYBRID position within LemFi’s Finance team. In this role, you should have a demonstrated knowledge of Accounting and IFRS best practices with, at minimum, 2 years relevant experience in the finance industry.Responsibilities are as follows:
- Ensure daily reconciliation of all bank accounts within the company.
- Ensure daily reconciliation of inter account fund movements within the company.
- Work closely with the Finance and Reconciliation team to ensure prompt resolution of all outstanding items.
- Ensure prompt posting of all bank related transactions.
- Ensure all GL entries are backed up with documentation and approvals.
- Sending periodic summary statements of accounts movements to the Financial Accountant
- Engage in cross-functional responsibilities and assist the Financial Controller where needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or any related discipline.
- Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN or relevant qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an accounting role at a FinTech or financial institution.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS
- Understanding of the local and global financial services industry.
- Excellent mathematical and statistical skills
