Job Title: Inventory Manager

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • This is a full-time on-site role for an Inventory Management Manager located in Lagos, Nigeria.
  • The Inventory Management Manager will be responsible for overseeing inventory levels, conducting analysis to optimize stock levels, collaborating with buyers, and ensuring efficient supply chain operations.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the company’s stocks to ensure an optimal amount of merchandise is available to meet customer demand, without excess or shortage
  • Liaising with other boutiques and departments to coordinate inventory management activities
  • Developing key performance indicators to measure and ensure the accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency of inventory management operations
  • Receive, store, and issue/distribute stocks to boutiques
  • Pricing of incoming goods and communicating it to boutiques and departments
  • Conducting periodic stock counting and managing stock rotation to ensure availability and freshness in boutiques
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking inventory movement in the system
  • Developing, reviewing, and communicating inventory management policies and procedures
  • Implementing inventory control measures and monitoring for company-wide compliance
  • Reviewing inventory reports and creating detailed reports on inventory operations and stock levels
  • Investigating inventory management incidents and resolving complaints

Requirements

  • Must have a BSc/BA/HND in business administration or a relevant field
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years of relevant and practical experience in retail inventory management
  • Must have outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • An inventory management certification will be a plus
  • A working knowledge of inventory management software will be a plus
  • Proximity to the Island is very important.
  • Must be reliable and trustworthy
  • Must have a strong understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
  • Must be able to track inventory and create reports accurately
  • Must have an analytical mind and strong math skills
  • Must have excellent organizational and planning skills
