Overall Purpose of the Job
- Provide engineering support and reliability analysis for rotating equipment, including compressors, pumps, turbines, motors, and auxiliary systems.
Principal Accountabilities
- Develop and implement machinery maintenance and reliability plans.
- Conduct performance analysis, condition monitoring, and troubleshooting of rotating equipment.
- Collaborate with operations to assess equipment condition changes and manage risks.
- Monitor reliability metrics and drive improvements in machinery availability.
- Support major equipment upgrades, overhauls, and modifications.
- Coordinate with OEMs and service providers for quality repairs and spare parts management.
- Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis and recommend cost-effective solutions.
- Perform vibration analysis, thermography, lubrication studies, and reliability testing.
- Ensure compliance with machinery design, operational, and safety standards.
Requirements
Education:
- B.ENG in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
Skills:
- Strong technical expertise in machinery engineering, supporting the operation, maintenance, and reliability of rotating equipment in production facilities.
The ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:
- At least a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of Second-Class Upper Division (2.1) in Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, or Mechatronics Engineering or related disciplines.
- Candidates need a minimum of 8 years’ experience in machinery reliability & maintenance in oil and gas.
- Knowledge of design standards, specifications, codes, and safety criteria for rotating equipment.
- Certification in areas such as API, ISO, ASME, or other machinery-related professional societies.
- NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
