These expansions have been intentional in contributing to our vision to be Africa’s leading pan-African creative and innovation ecosystem enabler.Since its establishment, CcHUB has supported the development and launch of over 10,000 innovative technology companies that address social challenges across Africa in areas such as budget transparency, agtech, education, fintech, healthcare delivery, the creative economy, and sustainability.Job DescriptionJob PurposeThe role is responsible for supporting investment programs, accelerator and incubator programs implemented by CcHUB, by researching potential startups, conducting market analysis, assisting with the due diligence and selection process, providing support to companies directly funded through CcHUB’s investment platforms as well as those participating in acceleration/incubation/bootcamps, and contributing to overall program development as relevant.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidate will play a lead role in supporting portfolio companies across the investment platforms and accelerator/incubator programs managed and/or implemented by CcHUB.Key responsibilities of an accelerator portfolio associate may include, but are not limited to:Program development and execution:Assisting in designing the accelerator curriculum and program structure.Coordinating workshops, events, and mentorship sessions with industry experts identified by the Investment Unit.Startup support:Support the Portfolio Manager in providing hands-on support to funded/participating startups as assigned by the Portfolio Manager.Support the Portfolio Manager in helping startups refine their go-market strategies, fundraising strategies, valuation, financial models, data rooms, pitch decks, and corporate governance.Connecting startups with relevant investors, partners, and mentors.Market analysis and research:Conducting industry research to identify emerging trends, competitor analysis, and market opportunities to guide CcHUB’s investment strategy.Analyzing data to generate insights for the accelerator program and participating startups.Reporting and communication:Preparing reports on investment program and accelerator/incubator program performance, startup progress, and key metrics.Communicating updates to internal stakeholders and investors.Drafting and coordinating internal and external reports and presentations on CcHUB’s investment platform portfolios; specifically working on quarterly reports to shareholders and assisting in the preparation of quarterly valuation reports.Investment pipeline developmentConducting country, industry, investment environment and company research, analysis and evaluation for potential and existing investment opportunities.Performing ad-hoc financial forecasts and analyses to evaluate potential investment opportunities; Building, reviewing and maintaining flexible financial models.Supporting due diligence processes, independently cooperating with external advisors.QualificationsBachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field. CFA, ACA, or MBA will be advantageous.1-3 years of experience in fast-paced environments with a focus on business operations, investments, portfolio management and/or project management.Ability to handle multiple priorities and timelines effectively.Great communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster good rapport, relationships and influence with all relevant stakeholders.Strong experience in financial analysis, financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and value-creation initiatives.Key CompetenciesBusiness acumen: Strong understanding of business fundamentals, financial analysis, and startup operations.Analytical skills: Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret data to inform decision making.Communication skills: Excellent written and verbal communication to effectively interact with startups, mentors, and investors.Project management: Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.Research skills: Capability to conduct thorough market research and identify relevant industry trends.Entrepreneurial mindset: Passion for startups and the innovation ecosystem.Additional InformationPlease note this is an onsite role in Lagos, NigeriaCo-creation HUB (CcHUB) is an equal opportunity employer.
