Job Summary
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Factory Accountant to join our team in Calabar.
- The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing all financial functions within the factory operations, including cost control, inventory management, budgeting, and financial reporting.
- This role requires a detail-oriented, ICAN-certified professional with strong experience in a manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, monitor, and manage factory budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis
- Implement and maintain cost accounting systems to track manufacturing expenses
- Monitor CAPEX and OPEX spending within the factory
- Perform internal financial audits to ensure compliance and identify variances
- Collaborate with operations and supply chain teams for cost-saving initiatives
- Support the external audit process with factory-related financial documentation
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements
- Prepare monthly management accounts and detailed costing reports
- Conduct inventory valuation, stock reconciliation, and stock control processes
- Ensure accurate cost allocation to products and departments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- ICAN Certification (Mandatory)
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., SAP, Sage, QuickBooks)
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing or FMCG accounting
- Strong knowledge of costing principles, inventory management, and factory finance
Salary
N350,000 – N400,000 Monthly. (Net)
