Today, Eat N’ Go has over 200 stores (outlet) across Nigeria a and Kenya.Job DescriptionJob SummaryWe are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Manager, Imports to support and coordinate import activities for the business. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in international logistics, customs clearance, documentation, and supplier management. You will work closely with the procurement, logistics, and finance teams to ensure timely and cost-effective import operations.Key ResponsibilitiesOversee and coordinate end-to-end import processes, ensuring full compliance with customs and regulatory requirements.Manage documentation including Form M, PAAR, SONCAP, invoices, bill of lading, and other relevant import paperwork.Liaise with shipping lines, clearing agents, government agencies (e.g., Nigeria Customs, NAFDAC, SON), and internal teams.Track and monitor inbound shipments, ensuring timely clearance and delivery.Negotiate terms and rates with freight forwarders and service providers to optimize cost and timelines.Prepare and update reports on import activities, landed costs, and inventory flow.Ensure proper filing and documentation for audit and regulatory inspections.Resolve shipment discrepancies or delays and escalate issues when necessary.Support procurement and finance teams with insights on import lead times and costs.QualificationsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Trade, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years proven experience in import operations or international logistics.Strong understanding of Nigeria Customs processes, SON, NAFDAC, and other regulatory bodies.Excellent communication, negotiation, and coordination skills.High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); ERP experience is an added advantage.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure.Additional InformationAny other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the HOD
