We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Store Manager (Plastic Factory)
Location: Ikenne, Ogun

Job Summary
- The Store Manager will be responsible for the efficient and secure management of the factory’s store, encompassing the inventory of raw materials, packaging, and finished plastic products.
- This role is crucial for ensuring a seamless supply chain, from the receipt of goods to the dispatch of finished products.
- The ideal candidate will be a Nigerian national with a strong background in inventory and logistics management within a manufacturing environment, demonstrating excellent leadership and organizational skills.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory & Stock Management:
- Manage and control all factory inventory, including plastic resins, additives, packaging materials, and finished goods, to prevent losses, damage, and obsolescence.
- Implement and utilize inventory management systems (both manual and computerized) to track stock levels, movements, and discrepancies.
- Analyze stock data to forecast future needs and collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely reordering and prevent production delays.
- Conduct regular stock-taking and cycle counts, reconciling physical inventory with system records.
Warehouse & Stores Operations:
- Supervise the daily operations of the warehouse, including the receiving, inspection, storage, and issuance of all materials.
- Oversee the loading and offloading of trucks, ensuring proper documentation (e.g., Waybills, GRNs – Goods Received Notes) is completed and verified.
- Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards within the store to protect staff and materials, in compliance with Nigerian regulations.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage procedures to maximize space and ensure easy access to materials.
Logistics & Supply Chain Coordination:
- Coordinate with the production department to provide raw materials and packaging in a timely manner, according to the production schedule.
- Manage relationships with third-party logistics (3PL) providers and transport companies to ensure efficient and cost-effective delivery.
- Liaise with the sales and distribution teams for the timely dispatch of finished goods to customers across Nigeria.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Lead, train, and mentor store personnel (e.g., storekeepers and material handlers) to ensure they are proficient in their duties and adhere to company policies.
- Delegate tasks effectively and conduct performance appraisals for the store team.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement within the store.
Reporting & Administration:
- Generate and submit comprehensive reports on inventory levels, material usage, stock variances, and other key performance indicators (KPIs) to the factory manager or senior management.
- Ensure all administrative tasks, such as documentation and record-keeping, are performed accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- Nationality: Nigerian
- Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years of proven experience in a similar role, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Demonstrable experience working within the manufacturing or plastic industry in Nigeria is a significant advantage.
Skills:
- Proficiency in inventory management software and strong computer skills, especially with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel).
- In-depth knowledge of warehousing best practices, safety standards, and supply chain processes.
- A high level of integrity, transparency, and accountability is essential.
- Residency in or proximity to Ikenne, Ogun State, or the ability to relocate, is required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 monthly.
