Job Summary
- This is a full-time on-site role for a Consumer Banking & Payroll Lending Officer, located in Abuja.
- The Consumer Banking & Payroll Lending Officer will be responsible for loan origination, underwriting, and providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities
- Drive acquisition of new customers for consumer banking and payroll lending products.
- Build and manage strong relationships with employers, payroll partners, and individual clients.
- Provide financial advisory and ensure excellent customer service delivery.
- Maintain compliance with banking policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
- Prepare periodic reports on loan portfolio, customer acquisition, and performance.
- Evaluate and process loan applications in line with credit policies.
- Monitor loan performance, ensure timely repayments, and support recovery efforts.
- Cross-sell other retail banking products (savings, current accounts, digital channels).
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
- 2–4 years experience in retail/consumer banking, payroll lending, or credit operations.
- Experience with Loan Origination and Underwriting processes
- Strong knowledge of loan products, credit analysis, and risk management.
- Proven track record in sales, business development, and customer relationship management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and core banking applications.
- Excellent Relationship manageement skills

- Ability to work in an on-site role in Abuja
