We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Workshop Officer – Auto Electrical
Location: Sunti, Niger
Purpose
- The Workshop Officer is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all auto-electrical repair and maintenance activities in the workshop.
- The role ensures that vehicles, tractors, and heavy-duty equipment electrical systems are properly diagnosed, repaired, and maintained in accordance with manufacturer standards and company policies.
The Job
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of auto electricians in the workshop.
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicles, tractors, and heavy machinery.
- Provide technical support, guidance, and training to auto electricians and trainees.
- Maintain records of repairs, parts usage, and service history.
- Ensure compliance with safety procedures, environmental standards, and company policies.
- Oversee the installation and maintenance of wiring, lighting, ignition, charging, air-conditioning, and other electronic systems.
- Allocate tasks to workshop staff, monitor progress, and ensure quality of work.
Qualifications
- Higher National Diploma / B.Tech. in Auto Electrical, Engineering, Mechanical / Electrical Engineering.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 – 5 years experience as an Auto Electrician, with at least 1 – 2 years in a supervisory role.
The Person Must:
- Have strong knowledge of maintenance planning, scheduling, and equipment management systems.
- Possess excellent organizational and analytical skills to coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Be able to prepare maintenance forecasts, track work orders, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Be proficient in the use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office tools.
