- We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Account Officer to join our finance department. This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to gain hands-on experience in a comprehensive accounting role.
- You will be instrumental in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, contributing directly to the company’s financial health and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
As a Account Officer, you will work closely with the Senior Accountant and be responsible for a range of critical duties, including:
- Bookkeeping & General Ledger: Managing the daily transactions, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, and ensuring the general ledger is maintained accurately.
- Bank Reconciliation: Performing monthly reconciliation of bank statements to the general ledger.
- Invoice & Expense Processing: Handling all company invoicing, tracking expense reports, and processing payments to vendors and suppliers.
- Reporting: Preparing various financial reports for management, including budget-to-actual variance analysis.
Qualifications
- Education: A Bachelor’s degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience.
- Soft Skills: High level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Promixity to location is key
