Employment Type: Full-timeKey Responsibilities
- Maintain and update accounting records such as ledgers, journals, and invoices.
- Prepare and post financial entries, including payments, receipts, and bank transactions.
- Accounts Payable and Receivable
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure accurate matching of bank statements with internal records.
- Reporting and Documentation
- Assist in budget preparation and track budget performance.
- Monitor departmental spending against approved budgets.
- Compliance and Taxation
- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Compile and maintain financial documentation for audits and compliance.
- Budget Monitoring
- Ensure timely remittance of statutory deductions (e.g., PAYE, VAT, WHT).
- Support with tax filings and liaise with auditors or tax consultants as required.
- Inventory and Asset Management
- Track inventory records and asset registers, where applicable.
- Support periodic inventory reconciliation and fixed asset audits.
- Support the finance department with administrative tasks and clerical duties as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- ICAN/ACCA in-view or qualified (added advantage).
Experience:
- 1–3 years of relevant work experience in accounting or finance roles.
- Experience in bank reconciliation, and basic financial report.
