Job description: The International Institute of Tropical Agriculture seeks suitable Nigeria Nationals for the position below at the Institute’s headquarter in Ibadan.Position: ArchitectDuration: 6 months’ renewable Location: IbadanClosing Date: 23 May 2025DUTIES:
- Discuss the objectives, requirements, and budget of a project.
- Consult with other professionals about the design and building.
- Prepare and present feasibility reports and design proposals to the client.
- Advise clients on the practicality of their project.
- Produce detailed working drawings and specification for IITA projects.
- Specify the nature and quality of materials required for a project.
- Prepare tender documents and presentation.
- Prepare documents for planning and building with control.
- Project management and supervision of contractors.
- Resolve construction related problems.
- Managing project, work in progress, and ensuring that the project is running on time and no budget.
- Perform any other duty as may be directed by the Supervisor.
RequirementsQUALIFICATION:HND/BSc in Architecture or related field with a minimum of four (4) years’ experience performing a similar role in a well-structured environment.COMPETENCIES:The ideal candidate must:
- Have experience in structural design work.
- Have the ability to read blue prints.
- Be able to help in planning and control specification of various buildings.
