We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Quality / Material Inspector
Location: Rivers
Key Responsibilities
- Report daily activities and findings to the Quality Coordinator regarding materials and equipment inspection/receiving.
- Verify that only approved materials are used and ensure compliance through proper testing and documentation.
- Generate and submit daily reports on inspection activities and findings.
- Participate in punch list creation, equipment testing, and commissioning processes.
- Collaborate with project teams and suppliers to resolve any material-related issues.
- Track and report progress on quality assurance activities as needed.
- Escalate any discrepancies or uncertainties to the Quality Coordinator promptly.
- Provide preservation guidance to the storekeeper in line with material handling procedures.
- Ensure adherence to industry standards, particularly ISO 9001, and internal quality control procedures.
- Conduct daily yard and field inspections and maintain accurate inspection records.
- Monitor conformance to specifications, performance requirements, and applicable codes through direct inspection activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in quality/material inspection within construction, oil & gas, or industrial sectors.
- Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and tape measures.
- Ability to interpret various units of measurement and perform conversions accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of quality control practices and ISO 9001 standards.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
