African Foundries Limited (AFL) was established to support the accelerating growth in Nigeria by making the country self-reliant for steel rebars and eliminating its dependence on imported rebars. AFL is set up to reach a 0.5 million-ton per year capacity for high strength rebars and allied products.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: AutoCad Engineer

Location: Ogijo, Ogun

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a skilled and experienced AutoCAD Designer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed technical drawings and models using AutoCAD software.
  • This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Key Responsibilities

Design and Drafting:

  • Create detailed 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD software.
  • Develop and maintain technical drawings, models, and designs according to project specifications.

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior designers and other team members as needed.
  • Stay updated with the latest AutoCAD features and best practices.

Project Management:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Communicate project status and any issues to relevant stakeholders.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with engineers, architects, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver designs that meet their needs.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure consistency and quality in design outputs.

Documentation:

  • Prepare and maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of designs, including drawings, models, and specifications.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with industry standards and company policies.

Quality Control:

  • Review and revise designs to ensure they meet project requirements, industry standards, and company quality standards.
  • Conduct quality checks on drawings and models to identify and correct errors.

Requirements

  • Education: Degree or diploma in a relevant field such as architecture, engineering, or design.

Experience:

  • Proven experience as an AutoCAD designer or in a similar role.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD and other design software.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and collaboration skills.
  • Strong understanding of technical drawing principles and practices.

Certifications:

  • AutoCAD certification or other relevant certifications are desirable.
