The teams here at Lemonade Finance are passionate about their work and fields of expertise, but also lend hands on cross-functional responsibilities to ensure the success of the company and the satisfaction of our clientele.What You’ll Be Doing:The role of the Bank Reconciliation Officer, Nigeria, is a HYBRID position within LemFi’s Finance team. In this role, you should have a demonstrated knowledge of Accounting and IFRS best practices with, at minimum, 2 years relevant experience in the finance industry.Responsibilities are as follows:

  • Ensure daily reconciliation of all bank accounts within the company.
  • Ensure daily reconciliation of inter account fund movements within the company.
  • Work closely with the Finance and Reconciliation team to ensure prompt resolution of all outstanding items.
  • Ensure prompt posting of all bank related transactions.
  • Ensure all GL entries are backed up with documentation and approvals.
  • Sending periodic summary statements of accounts movements to the Financial Accountant
  • Engage in cross-functional responsibilities and assist the Financial Controller where needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or any related discipline.
  • Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN or relevant qualification will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in an accounting role at a FinTech or financial institution.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Understanding of the local and global financial services industry.
  • Excellent mathematical and statistical skills
