- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and client acquisition.
- Identify new business opportunities, markets, and income streams.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products, services, and value propositions.
- Negotiate commercial terms with clients, suppliers, and partners to secure favourable deals.
- Track and convert Sales Qualified Leads (SQLs) into tangible opportunities to support pipeline growth.
- Monitor industry trends and market developments both locally and internationally.
- Conduct business analysis to identify operational gaps and recommend improvements.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and executive teams to align business development goals.
- Review and contribute to commercial contracts and proposals.
- Provide regular reporting and market insights to senior leadership.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Civil/Chemical Engineering, Architecture, or Chemistry.
- 5 to 10 years of proven experience in business development or sales, ideally within the construction or building materials sector.
- Strong track record of achieving targets and growing customer portfolios.
- Confident, self-motivated, and results-driven with an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to present compelling value propositions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and capable of producing professional business reports.
- Highly adaptable and able to lead or collaborate within fast-paced teams.
- Comfortable with extensive local travel and client-facing engagements.
- Valid driver’s license required.
