We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Cargo Handling Officer
Locations: Abuja (FCT); Ikeja, Lagos; Abeokuta, Ogun; Ibadan, Oyo and Osogbo, Osun.
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Load, pack, and secure goods onto trucks using forklifts, cranes, or manual handling methods.
- After probation, operate heavy-duty trucks for interstate and regional deliveries.
- Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any vehicle issues.
- Maintain accurate records of trips, fueling, and deliveries.
- Ensure cargo is properly lashed, strapped, and stowed for safe transport.
- Work with Workshop and Operations teams to confirm vehicles are safe before dispatch.
- Adhere strictly to Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards in all activities.
Requirements
- Valid Class G Driver’s License.
- Minimum of 5 years’ proven experience driving heavy-duty trucks in the logistics/haulage industry.
- Educational certificate (if any).
- Police clearance letter.
- Traceable guarantors.
- Medical certificate of fitness.
- Strong knowledge of interstate routes and ability to drive long hours.
- Must be willing to relocate and work in any parts of the country
- Minimum age: 30 years and above.
- Must be literate (ability to read and write is compulsory).
- Recommendation letter from a previous employer.
