Job description: This role is for one of the Weekday’s clientsMin Experience: 15 yearsLocation: Abuja, NigeriaJobType: full-timeWe are seeking an experienced COO to lead and optimize operations across terminals, logistics, supply chain, plant performance, and distribution at multiple sites. The ideal candidate brings extensive expertise in LPG or downstream oil and gas operations, with a focus on execution, safety, compliance, and sustainable growth.RequirementsKey Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations across terminals, depots, logistics, and bottling plants.
  • Ensure high safety standards, operational efficiency, and consistent service delivery across regions.
  • Develop and implement SOPs, KPIs, and frameworks to drive operational excellence.
  • Align operational performance with financial and strategic objectives.
  • Champion health, safety, environmental (HSE) practices and ensure full regulatory compliance.
  • Build and scale systems, teams, and infrastructure to support long-term sustainable growth.
  • Foster a culture of high accountability, continuous improvement, and performance mentoring.

Who You Are:

  • 15+ years of experience in operations, with a minimum of 5 years in senior/executive roles within LPG or downstream oil and gas sectors.
  • Strong technical and operational knowledge of plant management, HSE, supply chain, and asset management.
  • Proven leadership, execution, budgeting, and scaling capabilities.
  • Degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Age range: 35–50 years.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
