Job Title: Credit Control Officer (FMCG – Manufacturing)

Location: Lagos

Job Type: Full-time

Objective

  • To support the credit control team in managing credit customer accounts, monitoring and reconciling trade receivables, and ensuring compliance with terms of trade and company credit policies.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Monitor customer account balances and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Ensure compliance with agreed credit terms and limits.
  • Support the sales team by providing credit-related information and updates.
  • Escalate unresolved payment issues to the Credit Control Manager.
  • Maintain accurate credit control records and documentation.
  • Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies.
  • Assist in preparing debtor aging analysis and credit reports.

Qualification / Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
  • Part professional qualification will be preferred.
  • FMCG/Manufacturing sector experience is an added advantage.
  • 2 – 4 years’ experience in credit control, accounts receivable, or finance support.

Skills:

  • Good knowledge of accounting and credit management principles.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational ability.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems (SAP/MS365).
