- In a cashew processing company, a data entry officer’s primary duty is to accurately and efficiently input data into various systems, including inventory management, processing records, and customer data.
- They also ensure data integrity, organize files, and generate reports as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Entry: Inputting data from various sources (like invoices, receipts, production logs) into computer systems.
- Data Verification: Comparing entered data with source documents to ensure accuracy and identify errors.
- Database Management: Maintaining and updating databases related to cashew processing, including inventory levels, processing times, and customer information.
- Data Confidentiality: Ensuring the confidentiality of sensitive data and adhering to company data security policies.
- Process Improvement: Assisting in identifying process improvements for data entry procedures.
- Report Generation: Generating reports based on entered data to track production, inventory, and other relevant metrics.
- Data Organization: Organizing and filing paperwork related to data entry, including maintaining digital and physical records.
- Data Backup: Performing regular data backups to ensure data preservation.
- Equipment Maintenance: Managing and maintaining office equipment related to data entry tasks.
Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any related field
- Minimum of 3 years in a supervisory position, with knowledge of the cashew industry preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong time management and organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks and make decisions under pressure.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment and knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.

Salary
