Adexen has been mandated by a leading HVAC solutions provider in Nigeria to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to join their dynamic team in Abuja.Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical systems for HVAC projects in compliance with local and international codes and standards.
- Prepare detailed electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD or similar tools.
- Conduct load calculations, cable sizing, circuit protection, and lighting designs for projects.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and clients to integrate electrical systems into overall project designs.
- Evaluate and select appropriate materials, equipment, and technologies to meet design specifications and project requirements.
- Support site installation teams by providing technical direction and troubleshooting electrical issues during implementation.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during design and execution phases.
- Participate in project meetings, client presentations, and inspections as needed.
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical design, preferably within the HVAC or building services sector.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit (MEP), or other electrical design tools.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian electrical codes and international standards (e.g., IEC, NEC).
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver on tight deadlines.
