This role is a hands-on leadership position with full operational responsibility for the estate including stewarding, banqueting, housekeeping, and guest services.The successful candidate will “own the house” ensuring every aspect functions seamlessly and at a world-class standard. They will lead a team of stewards, cleaners, and the banquet manager, with all service departments reporting directly to them.This role suits a mature professional with deep experience managing private estates or ambassadorial residences for UHNW families. Prior experience in Africa, Europe, the Middle East, or luxury destinations is highly valued.Responsibilities:Estate Oversight & Daily Operations
- Full oversight of all daily estate operations.
- Oversee all residential and recreational facilities including private quarters, guest wings, entertainment areas, gym/spa, banqueting zones, and service quarters.
- Lead estate logistics, cleanliness standards, interior presentation, and household systems (utilities, smart technology, security).
- Maintain daily readiness for both private use and high-level entertaining.
- Lead stewarding, cleaning, banqueting, and domestic staff to deliver top-tier service.
- Maintain high standards of hospitality, readiness, and discretion across the home.
- Act as the principal’s trusted lead for all internal estate matters.
- Ensure the home operates like a private five-star hotel immaculate, efficient, and guest-ready at all times.
Staff Leadership & Culture
- Lead and manage domestic staff including chefs, stewards, drivers, housekeepers, gardeners, and lifestyle service teams.
- Set standards of performance, service culture, and appearance aligned with international private service excellence.
- Implement structured onboarding, regular training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
Lifestyle & Guest Management
- Coordinate and deliver luxury hospitality services for high-level guests, private functions, and impromptu hosting.
- Partner with event planners, caterers, and vendors for seamless delivery of private dinners, family gatherings, or formal receptions.
Administrative & Financial Oversight
- Manage household budgets, expense tracking, and vendor payments.
- Prepare reports for the principal; manage inventories, procurement, and vendor SLAs.
- Liaise with security and property maintenance for preventive and emergency readiness.
Privacy, Protocol & Discretion
- Maintain the utmost discretion and confidentiality at all times.
- Implement privacy protocols, guest access procedures, and crisis communication preparedness.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 10+ years in senior household/estate management roles.
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree (hospitality, business administration, or related field preferred). Or equivalent
- Additional training or certification in household management, hospitality, or etiquette is a plus.
- Prior exposure to managing multi-functional luxury residences private quarters, guest wings, events spaces).
- Proven leadership of stewarding and banqueting teams.
- Used to working with UHNWIs and delivering exceptional private service.
- Reports to the Property Manager. /Principal
Preferred Background:
- Expatriate or globally trained private estate manager.
- Discreet, composed, and emotionally intelligent
- Hospitality or estate management degree and/or formal private ousehold certifications.
Personality: Loyal, polished, proactive, high attention to detail, service- ledAttractive compensation package based on experience and benchmark for role.
