Job Title: Factory Operations Manager

Location: Sagamu, Ogun

Job Description

  • We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Factory Operations Manager to lead and oversee all operational aspects of our construction chemical manufacturing facility.
  • The ideal candidate must have a strong background in factory operations, administration, production planning, supply chain coordination, and compliance, with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

Operations & Production Management:

  • Oversee daily factory operations to ensure efficient production, quality assurance, and timely order fulfillment.
  • Implement best practices in process optimization, resource utilization, and equipment maintenance.
  • Coordinate with Production, Quality Control, to ensure product standards are consistently met.

Inventory & Supply Chain Coordination:

  • Monitor raw material availability, coordinate with procurement and stores for inventory management.
  • Liaise with logistics for timely dispatch of finished goods.

Maintenance & Equipment Management:

  • Ensure all machinery and equipment are properly maintained and operational.
  • Schedule preventive maintenance and address breakdowns promptly.

Reporting & Continuous Improvement:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on production, costs, manpower, and operational efficiency to senior management.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement in productivity, cost reduction, and quality control.

Administrative:

  • Supervise factory administration including documentation, office coordination, labor attendance, security, and general facility management.
  • Ensure smooth integration of administrative support with factory operations.

Manpower & HR Coordination:

  • Work with HR to manage workforce planning, recruitment, discipline, training, and welfare activities.
  • Monitor workforce performance, attendance, and ensure compliance with labor laws and factory regulations.

Health, Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations; ensure the factory complies with statutory and legal obligations.
  • Lead regular audits, inspections, and risk assessments.

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related field. Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of factory administration, production systems, labor management, and regulatory compliance.
  • Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, MS Office, and familiarity with lean manufacturing principles.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in factory operations management within the construction chemicals or related manufacturing industry.
