We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Field Engineer
Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Attend customer premises to install and configure internet and network equipment.
- Follow technical specifications and procedures to ensure proper installation and performance.
- Test and verify installed services to meet quality, speed, and reliability standards.
- Communicate clearly with customers to ensure a positive service experience.
- Recommend improvements or upgrades to customers based on their needs.
- Ensure all work complies with company standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct periodic quality checks and stay updated with industry best practices.
- Educate customers on equipment usage, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting.
- Diagnose and resolve network or equipment faults, ensuring timely issue resolution.
- Work with internal teams to escalate and resolve complex technical challenges.
- Maintain accurate records of service calls, installations, and customer feedback.
Requirements
- Candidates should possess a High school Diploma or equivalent technical certifications or a degree in a relevant field is an added advantage with 3 years experience.
- Proven experience in network installations within an ISP or telecommunications environment
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and devices (routers, switches, modems, etc.)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in field conditions
- Physical ability to lift and install networking equipment
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer locations.
- Skilled in diagnosing and resolving connectivity or equipment issues
- Familiarity with operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS) and network diagnostic tools
Salary
N250,000 / Month.
