Job Title: Field Risk and Recovery Officer
Location: Ikoyi, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Review and evaluate loan applications to ensure alignment with internal credit policies.
- Conduct field assessments, including spot checks and verifications for loan requests.
- Identify and mitigate credit risks associated with loan structures, especially high-risk exposures.
- Develop, implement, and update compliance policies, including KYC procedures, in accordance with regulatory standards.
- Conduct internal audits and risk assessments to ensure compliance.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory guidelines, including those from the CBN and NDIC.
- Prepare and present risk and compliance reports to senior management.
- Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities as required.
- Perform due diligence checks such as CRC verifications and fraud screenings.
- Monitor and analyze loan portfolio performance; prepare regular credit risk reports.
- Support the loan recovery process by maintaining accurate documentation and assisting collections efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in credit risk, field risk, and compliance, preferably within a microfinance bank or finance house.
- In-depth knowledge of Nigerian financial regulatory frameworks related to lending and compliance.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other reporting tools.
- Relevant professional certifications (e.g., IRDPN, RIMAN) are an added advantage.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent communication and documentation abilities.

Salary
N250,000 – N270,000 monthly (commensurate with experience and qualifications).
