Job Title: Finance Executive

Location: Lagos

Job Description

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Finance Executive to join our growing team.
  • The successful candidate will play a critical role in managing the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining cash flow stability, and enforcing sound financial controls.
  • You will also oversee invoicing and client payment tracking to support effective revenue collection and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve financial policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Manage and monitor the company’s cash flow, including income, expenditure, and investments.
  • Prepare and present accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including management accounts.
  • Conduct regular financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost optimization.
  • Monitor financial transactions to detect and investigate irregularities or discrepancies.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations, support tax planning, and manage tax filings.
  • Liaise with auditors and support internal and external audit exercises.
  • Track economic and market changes that may affect financial planning and risk.
  • Provide strategic input on cost-saving initiatives and revenue improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing processes and track client payments to ensure timely collection and reconciliation of receivables.
  • Maintain up-to-date financial records and documentation for all transactions.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.

Requirements

Education & Certification:

  • Minimum of a B.Sc. or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
  • Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, ICAN) is a strong advantage.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a finance or accounting function.

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar tools.
  • Solid knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and best practices.
  • Experience in invoicing and tracking payments from clients is essential.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality, and accountability.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

Salary

N350,000 – N400,000 monthly.
