Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A):
- Develop and maintain financial models for strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide actionable recommendations to optimize revenue and control costs.
- Prepare variance analysis reports to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and assess progress towards targets.
Budgeting & Forecasting:
- Collaborate with department heads to create annual operating budgets and periodic forecasts.
- Monitor budget vs. actual performance, investigate variances, and propose corrective actions.
- Update forecasts based on changing business conditions and market trends.
Accounting & Financial Reporting:
- Oversee daily accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end close processes, preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
Tax & Regulatory Compliance:
- Stay informed about tax regulations and ensure timely filing of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory payments.
- Assist in tax planning initiatives to optimize tax efficiency and minimize liabilities.
- Liaise with external tax advisors and regulatory authorities to address inquiries and compliance issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting is a must.
- 5 – 10 years of proven experience in financial planning and analysis.
- MBA or professional certification (ICAN or ACCA orCFA) is a must.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable recommendations.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting software, and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Meticulous attention to detail, accuracy, and integrity.
