Job Title: Fleet Officer

Job Description
- We are seeking a Fleet Officer is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the company’s vehicle fleet.
- This role ensures vehicles are properly maintained, compliant with safety regulations, and efficiently utilized.
- The Fleet Supervisor directly supervises drivers, mechanics, and other fleet staff, monitors vehicle performance, and supports the Fleet Manager in optimizing fleet operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily fleet operations including dispatch, driver schedules, and vehicle assignments.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance schedules and ensure timely servicing and repairs.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for parts, repairs, and maintenance.
- Respond to vehicle breakdowns, accidents, or other incidents promptly and effectively.
- Assist the Fleet Manager with budgeting, reporting, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Recommend improvements to fleet procedures to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee driver performance, conduct training, and ensure adherence to company policies.
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle usage, maintenance, fuel consumption, and incidents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain Management
- Proven experience in fleet management, logistics coordination, or a similar role.
- Strong understanding of fleet management systems, logistics software, and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to resolving logistical challenges.
- Experience in negotiating with suppliers, service providers, and other external partners.
- Knowledge of GPS systems, route planning, and vehicle tracking systems.
- Familiarity with transportation and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Salary
N150,000 / Month.
