Tempo Paper Pulp and Packaging Plc is one of the leading manufacturers and suppliers of BOPP and CPP film to lamination and packaging industries in Africa. It was established in the year 2005 and commenced production of corrugated carton boxes. The flexible packaging arm of the business (BOPP) was introduced in the year 2011 with the first line while CPP production came into being in the year 2019.Our second line of 8.7 meter width wascommissioned in 2022.
A state-of-the-art manufacturing unit in Ota, Ogun state (Nigeria) helps us in delivering world class BOPP and CPP films to our customers which meet the trends for recyclability and ultrahigh barrier films, also by manufacturing thicker films with advanced properties for monolayers. This enables us to fulfil new market demands and requirements.
Our facility has an annual production capacity of 75,000 MT for BOPP Films and operates with the most advanced equipment and machinery from Bruckner (Germany), 11,000 MT for CPP Films from SML (Austria), Metallizers from BUHLER & BOBST as well as high speed slitters from Atlas, Jkampf & Goebel IMS, and recycling plants from EREMA (Austria).

Job Title: Forklift Technician
Location: Ota, Ogun
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Description
- Conduct routine inspections, diagnostics, servicing, and repairs of forklifts and other mobile equipment.
- Ensure availability of working forklifts through timely resolution of faults and parts replacement.
- Monitor equipment performance and escalate issues requiring procurement of spares or replacement.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and promote a safe working environment.
- Liaise with spare parts inventory team to ensure prompt availability of critical parts.
- Collaborate with production/logistics to schedule servicing during low-use periods.
- Provide technical support for acquisition and commissioning of new forklifts.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance according to manufacturer recommendations and company maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and fuel systems issues in forklifts.
- Keep accurate service records and maintenance logs for each piece of equipment.
- Carry out any other duties as may be assigned by the Maintenance Engineer or Supervisor
Expected Skills / Competency

Required Qualification
- Minimum Requirement: OND / Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Technology, or related field.
- Added Advantage: HND or Certification in Forklift Maintenance or OEM-specific training.
Experience:
- Minimum Requirement: 3 years hands-on experience maintaining forklifts and related material handling equipment
- Added Advantage: 5+ years in a manufacturing or logistics setting.
Professional (Memberships & Certifications):
- Minimum Requirement: Relevant technical certifications (e.g., Forklift Mechanic Certification).
- Added Advantage: OEM Training from forklift manufacturers (e.g., Toyota, Hyster, CAT).
- Added Advantage: More than ten years Accounting/Auditing experience in manufacturing sector.
Salary
N100,000 – N200,000 monthly.
