Job Title: Full-Stack Web Developer
Location: Iyana Ipaja, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time (On-site)
Mode: Monday to Friday from 12pm – 8pm WAT
Role Overview
- As a Full-Stack Web Developer & Graphic Designer, you will play a dual role, blending technical expertise in web development with creative proficiency in graphic design.
- You will work closely with our team to develop and maintain user-friendly web applications while also creating visually appealing graphic designs that enhance user experience and align with our brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Stack Web Development:
- Design, develop, and maintain responsive, user-centric websites and web applications.
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code using languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and backend frameworks (e.g., Node.js, Python, PHP).
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and translate requirements into functional features.
- Build and integrate APIs, databases, and server-side applications.
- Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance and fix bugs.
Graphic Design:
- Create compelling visual assets, including web layouts, UI elements, logos, banners, and marketing materials.
- Collaborate with the marketing and development teams to ensure designs align with the overall strategy.
- Conduct user research and apply feedback to enhance design effectiveness.
- Develop cohesive branding materials and guidelines.
- Use tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD) or Figma to design engaging visuals.
Requirements
Technical Skills:
- Certified and proficient in front-end technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript (and frameworks like React, Angular, or Vue.js).
- Experience with backend development using languages such as Node.js, Python, Java, or PHP.
- Agile and Scrum certifications (e.g., Certified ScrumMaster)
- Familiarity with version control systems like Git.
- Experience with web hosting platforms and deployment tools.
- Certification and knowledge of database systems (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL).
- Cloud certification (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Azure Fundamentals)
Design Skills:
- Proficient in graphic design tools like Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, XD) or Figma.
- Understanding of typography, color theory, and design principles.
- Knowledge of UX/UI design methodologies.
- Strong portfolio showcasing web and graphic design projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or HND degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Graphic Design or a related field
- Basic understanding of SEO and digital marketing principles.
- Previous experience in a similar dual role.
- Experience with CMS platforms like WordPress, Shopify, or Webflow.
- Familiarity with motion graphics and video editing tools.
