Job Type: Full-timeKey Responsibilities
- Installation & Commissioning
- Assist OEM and senior engineers in mechanical assembly, cabling, instrumentation and PLC/I/O checkout.
- Execute start-up, calibration and performance testing to agreed KPIs.
- Compile as-built drawings, SOPs and maintenance schedules.
- Operations & Maintenance (Post-commissioning)
- Run routine inspections, preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of electrical drives, hydraulic & pneumatic systems, CIP units and utilities.
- Lead root-cause analysis for downtime events and implement corrective actions.
- Train production operators on safe equipment use.
- Contribute to continuous-improvement and energy-efficiency projects.
Minimum Qualifications
- B.Sc. / B.Eng. or HND in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
- Maximum 0-3 years of post-NYSC work experience (industrial internship or SIWES counts).
- Completion of the compulsory National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
- Solid grasp of engineering fundamentals and a genuine desire to build a career in the Food & Beverage sector.
- Desirable (but not mandatory)
- Exposure to any of the following: PLC/HMI programming, motor control centres, process piping, rotating equipment, CAD or CMMS.
- Internship/IT or project experience in FMCG, beverages, agro-processing or power generation.
Core Competencies:
- Analytical problem-solver with strong attention to detail.
- Safety-first mindset and familiarity with permit-to-work systems.
- Effective communicator able to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Willingness to live and work in Akure and work shifts once production starts.
