We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Head, Corporate Communications

Location: Lagos

Responsibilities

  • Develop a robust and effective execution roadmap for events management (Strategy)
  • Create and plan event(s) to foster networking opportunities. Determine strategic opportunities for success that may include sponsorships, speaking engagements, roundtable discussions, breakout, innovative session, and more.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with subsidiaries in the planning and production of events and sponsorships as applies for each business.
  • Maintain group wide calendar of events and sponsorship activities,
  • Implement a system that enables mid- and long-term planning and effective execution of event and sponsorship for the company.
  • Manage group wide calendar of activities and events to ensure harmony and efficiency.
  • Ensure appropriate branding at all events
  • Source and promote opportunities to drive awareness, sales opportunities, improve brand perception to strengthen Unified Payments’ image.
  • Plan, organize and drive various CRS initiatives for the enhancement of the Group’s performance, including timely disclosure of our CRS performance in accordance with regulatory requirements.
  • Write and distribute Press Releases.
  • Organize media parleys and maintain good media relations for the organization
  • Address inquiries from the media and other parties
  • Track media coverage and follow industry trends
  • Prepare and submit PR periodic PR reports
  • Prevent, mitigate and manage PR issues
  • Develop and execute CRS programs as well as conduct periodic assessments to determine outcomes and effectiveness.
  • Maintain the security of all information entrusted with you, and ensure full compliance with all principles and policies in the UP Handbook.
  • Any other related responsibilities are required as assigned Public Relations

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or any other related field 
  • Relevant professional membership is desirable.
  • 7- 10 years of quality experience in a similar role.
  • Highly developed attention to detail
  • Good knowledge and understanding of general marketing concepts.
  • Prior experience managing a team is important.
  • Analytical skills with a problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Good writing and presentation skills.
  • Able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Understand global principles and practices for this role
  • Able to drive events outcomes with end-to-end technology.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Enterprise tools
