Job description: Job Description:Location: Lagos, NigeriaOur client is a renowned ICT company based in Lagos, Nigeria.The company is seeking to hire a Head of Finance who will be responsible for driving the financial planning and management of the organization. S/he will utilize analytical skills to manage finance operations and oversee financial reporting within the organization.The Head of Finance will play a crucial role in driving financial planning, managing finance operations, and overseeing financial reporting within the organization.Key Responsibilities:§ Work closely with the Managing Director to drive commercial decision-making and business strategy.§ Lead financial planning, forecasting, and sophisticated financial modeling to support growth.§ Play a key role in the implementation of a new accounting system, streamlining financial processes.§ Coordinate the preparation process of the annual budget of the company and track actual vs budget.§ Conduct in-depth analysis to identify specific trends, explain past performance, and recommend opportunities for improvement within the group§ Analyze budget implications for the company and advise management.§ Participate in decision-making and its implementation in the company budget.§ Manage the company’s Financial Operations functions – Fixed Assets, Revenue, Expenditure, and General Ledger.§ Coordinate the collation of financial plans and annual budgets for all operating companies that would support the achievement of the corporate strategy.§ Oversee the performance of financial service providers and take steps to discontinue high-risk relationships.§ Manage foreign exchange risk and interest rate exposures and escalate the same to management.§ Management of the Company’s Tax affairs§ Provide operational support, including maintaining the budget, Profit and Loss accounts, programs, and contract analysis.§ Implement finance policies as well as guarantee compliance with established internal controls of the organization§ Processes, Policies, and Procedures and IFRS in processing all transactions.§ Monitor annual audit of financial reports of the organization.§ Review the budget from all Heads of Department in the group and prepare a consolidated report for the Management.§ And any other task assigned by managementRequirements§ B.Sc degree in Finance, Accounting, or any related field.§ ACCA/ACA certification is mandatory§ 10+ years in a fast-growing environment and a consistent leadership position in the Finance/Treasury/Accounts function.§ Proficient user of finance software.§ A solid understanding of financial statistics and accounting principles§ Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.§ Meticulous attention to detail with superb organizational skills.§ Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Excel (financial modeling and valuations).§ Excellent Skills in Corporate Finance strategies, methodologies, and applications, including generally accepted Audit Standards and principles and International Finance Reporting Standards.§ Excellent Skills in Corporate Finance strategies, methodologies, and applications, including generally accepted Audit Standards and principles and International Finance Reporting Standards.§ Advanced analytical, organization, business development, and strategic planning skills§ Excellent policy and process design skills, especially around implementing effective controls.§ Exceptional leadership and team management skills§ Continuously seek self-professional development to sharpen skills and capabilities in a versatile and evolving digital landscapeBenefitsCompensation: Base Pay ranges BTW N850k – N1.2m monthly + Other Interesting Benefits
