We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Health and Safety Officer
Location: Ilorin, Kwara
Employment Type: Full-time
Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor the company’s HSE policies, procedures, and programs.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, and audits practices
- Equipment inspection , hazard identification and mitigation measure
- Investigate and report incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
- Support the continuous improvement of safety culture and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
- Issue permit to work to contractors and monitoring of high risk operations
- Provide first aid attention when required.
- Develop Standard operating procedure where required to prevent unexpected occurrence.
- Review of risk assessment & method statement and provide HSE support on project execution within the factory.
- Facilitate HSE training, inductions, and toolbox talks for staffs and visitors.
- Maintain and update HSE documentation, reports, and records in line with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor environmental impact and waste management practices in the factory and measures of reduction .
- Conduct Emergency response planning and drills.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree with 3 years work experience.
