- We are seeking a skilled HSE Officer who will be responsible for overseeing and enforcing health, safety, and environmental standards within the factory.
- The role ensures that all production activities comply with applicable HSE policies and regulations to create a safe and hazard-free work environment for all operatives and factory personnel.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and enforce HSE policies in line with legal and company standards.
- Identify hazards through regular inspections and ensure corrective actions are taken.
- Report, investigate, and document workplace incidents and near misses.
- Conduct safety inductions and promote a culture of safety through regular trainings.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and supervise safe disposal of factory waste.
- Maintain accurate HSE records and submit periodic reports to management.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of OND / HND / B.Sc. Degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Service or any related field.
- 0-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment preferably furniture
- Professional certification in HSE 1,2 &3
- Ability to train and influence staff at all levels
- Attention to detail and high level of accountability
- Effective communication skills
- Strong observation, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
