Job Title: HSE Manager
Location: Obubra, Cross River

Job Summary
- We are seeking a dedicated and experienced HSE Manager to lead the development, implementation, and enforcement of health, safety, and environmental policies at our mining site.
- The successful candidate will ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and promote a safety-first culture across all levels of operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and systems tailored to mining operations.
- Conduct regular safety audits, risk assessments, and site inspections to identify and address hazards.
- Monitor environmental impact and ensure adherence to environmental standards and permits.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with national mining and environmental laws.
- Prepare HSE reports, performance metrics, and improvement plans for management review.
- Promote continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental sustainability.
- Lead incident investigations and ensure timely reporting, documentation, and corrective action implementation.
- Train and supervise staff on HSE practices, emergency response, and regulatory compliance.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
- Certification in HSE management (e.g., NEBOSH, ISPON, OSHA) is required.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and training skills.
- Ability to work in remote field locations and under high-risk conditions
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in HSE management, preferably in mining or heavy industry.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian HSE regulations, mining safety standards, and environmental compliance.
Salary
N100,000 – N150,000 per month.
