- The HSE Manager, or Health, Safety and Environment Manager, is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all activities related to health, safety, and environmental management within an organization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and promoting a safe and responsible working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain comprehensive policies, procedures, and systems to ensure a safe and secure business operation.
- Maintain up-to-date compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Identify, assess, and control risks related to health, safety, and the environment.
- Regularly monitor and audit HSE performance to identify areas for improvement.
- Investigate workplace accidents and incidents to determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Provide training and education to employees on health, safety, and environmental matters.
- Maintain clear Communication channels with regulatory bodies, contractors, and other stakeholders on HSE matters.
- Foster a proactive safety culture where employees are encouraged to identify and report hazards.
Skills and Qualifications
- A relevant Degree and professional qualification in health, safety, and environmental management.
- A thorough knowledge and understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- The ability to effectively communicate with employees, contractors, and external stakeholders.
- The ability to identify and solve problems related to health, safety, and the environment.
- The ability to lead and manage HSE activities and teams.
