Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years in HSE roles within the manufacturing industryJob SummaryWe are seeking a competent and experienced Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Officer to ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental regulations within our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience in the manufacturing sector, strong knowledge of HSE standards, and a proven track record of implementing safety policies, conducting risk assessments, and promoting a safety-first culture. This role requires excellent leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to engage staff at all levels to foster safe work practices.Key Responsibilities1. Compliance & RegulationEnsure adherence to all applicable health, safety, and environmental laws, regulations, and industry standards.Monitor and enforce compliance with internal safety policies and procedures.2. Risk Assessment & Hazard ManagementIdentify workplace hazards and assess risks across all operations.Develop and implement corrective and preventive safety measures.3. Policy Development & ImplementationEstablish, update, and implement HSE policies, safe work procedures, and operational guidelines.Ensure alignment with ISO standards and industry best practices.4. Training & Safety AwarenessOrganize regular HSE training, drills, and awareness programs for employees.Provide toolbox talks and orientation for new staff and contractors.5. Incident & Accident ManagementInvestigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.Identify root causes, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.6. Audits & InspectionsConduct regular HSE inspections, audits, and risk assessments.Monitor work areas and equipment to ensure safe operations.7. Emergency PreparednessDevelop and implement emergency response plans.Coordinate drills to ensure readiness for fire, chemical spills, and other emergencies.8. Safety Culture & Employee EngagementPromote a proactive safety culture across all departments.Act as a role model for safety leadership, encouraging staff compliance.9.
