- The Plant Human Resources Manager is a key strategic partner to the plant leadership team.
- This role is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the manufacturing facility, ensuring a compliant, safe, and productive workplace.
- The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR principles, labor laws, and the unique challenges and needs of a manufacturing environment, including union relations, employee safety, and talent management for a diverse workforce.
Responsibilities
Strategic HR & Workforce Planning:
- Collaborate with plant leadership to align HR initiatives with production goals and business objectives.
- Develop and execute HR strategies for talent acquisition, retention, and employee development that support the plant’s operational needs.
- Conduct workforce planning to forecast labor needs and develop a talent pipeline for key roles, including skilled technicians and supervisors.
- Analyze HR metrics (e.g., turnover, absenteeism, safety incidents) to identify trends and implement solutions for continuous improvement.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
- Lead the full recruitment lifecycle for both hourly and salaried positions, from sourcing and screening to interviewing and hiring.
- Design and implement a comprehensive onboarding program to ensure new hires are well-prepared for the factory environment, with a strong focus on safety protocols and company culture.
Employee Relations & Labor Relations:
- Act as a liaison between management and employees, fostering a positive work environment and open communication.
- Manage and resolve employee relations issues, grievances, and conflicts in a fair and timely manner.
- Administer and interpret collective bargaining agreements (if applicable) and advise management on union-related matters, including contract negotiations.
- Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
Compensation, Benefits, & Performance Management:
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, including payroll, health insurance, and retirement plans, ensuring they are competitive and compliant.
- Oversee the performance management process, including goal setting, performance reviews, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and implement employee recognition and reward programs to motivate and retain high-performing staff.
Health, Safety, and Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to all federal, state, and local labor laws and regulations, including OSHA standards.
- Partner with the plant safety manager to develop and enforce safety policies and training programs.
- Manage workers’ compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and accident investigations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential HR records, including personnel files, attendance records, and other essential documentation.
Training & Development:
- Assess the training needs of the workforce and develop and implement programs to enhance skills, improve performance, and support career growth.
- Facilitate training sessions on topics such as leadership, conflict resolution, and compliance.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning and development throughout the plant.
Salary
N200,000 – N220,000 Monthly.Method of Application
