Job Title: Instrumentation Engineer
Location: Lagos
Job Summary
- Responsible for the implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Instrumentation systems for oil and gas metering systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards, client specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop instrumentation systems for custody transfer and allocation metering.
- Supervise the installation and commissioning of flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, and control systems.
- Work closely with calibration technicians and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration.
- Perform instrument loop checking and troubleshooting during pre-commissioning and commissioning phases.
- Provide technical support during audits, inspections, and client reviews.
- Ensure metering systems comply with OIML, AGA, API, and ISO standards.
- Prepare technical documentation, including P&IDs, control philosophies, and instrument datasheets.
- Stay updated with advancements in metering and instrumentation technologies.
Requirements
- B.Eng. or B.Sc. in Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation, or related field.
- Familiarity with PLC/DCS systems, SCADA, HART, Foundation Fieldbus.
- Strong knowledge of ATEX, IECEx, and hazardous area classifications.
- Excellent technical documentation and reporting skills.
- 5+ years of experience in the oil and gas sector with specialisation in
- instrumentation and metering.
