Job Description
- The Accountant will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial statements and reports, reconciling accounts, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Process and record loan disbursements, repayments, and interest accruals, ensuring accurate and timely updates to the loan ledger.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including customer loans, savings and other relevant data.
- Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring proper classification and accuracy.
- Maintain and reconcile accounts, ensuring balances are accurate and consistent.
- Perform other accounting duties as assigned by the supervisor..
Qualification and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree / HND / OND in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organised
- Strong project management skills.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in similar role.
- AAT certificate (Added Advantage)
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
