- We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Trainee Accountant with at least 1 year of experience to join our finance team.
- The ideal candidate will support the day-to-day accounting operations while gaining hands-on experience in financial reporting, compliance, and internal controls.
Responsibilities
- Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, payments, and bank reconciliations.
- Accounts Support: Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, financial reports, and budget tracking.
- Compliance & Documentation: Support the finance team in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal financial policies.
- Audit Preparation: Help prepare financial documents and schedules required for audits.
- Expense Tracking: Monitor office expenses and ensure all expense claims are properly documented and processed.
- Data Entry & Reconciliation: Carry out accurate data entry of accounting information and assist with reconciling discrepancies.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the finance manager and other departments to support smooth financial operations.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in an accounting or finance-related role.
- Degree or HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage).
- Willingness to learn and grow in a professional finance environment.
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Integrity, discretion, and a commitment to accuracy.
