Vale FMC, a Facility Management company, is recruiting suitable candidates to fill the position below:

 

Job Title: Management Accountant

Location: Sunnyvale Estate Dakwo District, Abuja (FCT) 

Employment Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Forecasting:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets in collaboration with department heads and operational managers.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts to track financial performance against projections.
  • Highlight variances, investigate discrepancies, and recommend corrective actions.

Cost & Performance Analysis:

  • Analyze costs associated with facility management operations, including maintenance, utilities, procurement, and manpower.
  • Monitor service delivery costs against budgets and contracts, ensuring efficiency and profitability.
  • Prepare profitability analysis for client accounts, contracts, and service lines.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

  • Maintain and improve internal controls to safeguard company resources.
  • Ensure compliance with company financial policies and Nigerian accounting standards.
  • Support both internal and external audit processes.

Collaboration & Advisory:

  • Work closely with operations, procurement, and HR teams to align financial objectives with business performance.
  • Advise managers on cost-effective decision-making while ensuring service quality.

Financial Reporting:

  • Produce accurate and timely management reports, including P&L statements, cash flow forecasts, and performance dashboards.
  • Provide insight on key financial metrics to aid executive decision-making.
  • Support contract reviews with financial performance data.

Decision Support & Strategic Planning:

  • Provide financial analysis to support business planning, pricing strategies, and new project evaluation.
  • Assess financial viability of proposed contracts, service expansions, or capital investments.
  • Participate in strategic planning discussions with senior management.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  • Professional accounting certification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) required.
  • Strong knowledge of cost accounting, contract accounting, and financial performance measurement.
  • Proficiency in accounting and ERP software (e.g., Sage, SAP, or QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Minimum of 4–6 years’ experience in management accounting, preferably in facility management, real estate, or service-oriented industries.
