Job Title: Manager, Technical Operations and Sales

Location: Nigeria

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Manager, Technical Operations and Sales to lead our technical operations and drive sales growth, delivering quality engineering solutions for our clients.
  • Key duties include understanding customer technical needs, developing sales strategies, overseeing technical operations, analyzing performance data, managing technical teams, and ensuring seamless integration between sales and technical departments to enhance overall business performance.
  • The successful candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent managerial skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee Technical Operations: Ensures all technical systems operate smoothly and resolves any issues in a timely manner.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity
  • Perform quality controls and monitor production Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure consistent, high-quality output.
  • Adhere to and work in line with company guidelines on Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) and Ethics & Compliance.
  • Expedite Purchase Orders to ensure on timely delivery.
  • Define the required quality assurance (expediting and special inward goods inspection) for critical materials.
  • Team Leadership: Leads, mentors, and motivates technical staff, fostering a productive environment and evaluating their performance.
  • Process Improvement: Drives changes and implements new processes to improve operational and technical efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Resource Management: Manages budgets, manpower, and other resources effectively to meet project goals and optimize productivity.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensures technical solutions align with broader business goals and works with departments like engineering and sales to achieve them.
  • Compliance and Reporting: Maintains compliance with company policies and industry standards, and provides regular reports to senior management on technical operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Proactively handles technical issues, risks, and uncertainties, providing guidance and support to technical personnel.
  • Client and Stakeholder Relations: Builds and maintains relationships with clients and other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement Project Execution Plans and Project Specifications

Requirements

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in engineering, preferably in the oil & gas, energy and mining sectors.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey information, collaborate with teams, and interact with stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of financial principles to manage resources and contribute to budgetary goals.
  • The ability to identify and mitigate risks within technical operations.
  • Ability to work and manage in a diverse, multi-cultural environment.
  • Knowledgeable in project management and planning across subsea integrity, rotating equipment repair and maintenance, corrosion and inspections, fabric maintenance, asset integrity management, installation and commissioning of field equipment.
  • Ability to help develop a culture, procedures, processes and reports.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
