About the Role
- Taybuwtah International School is seeking a talented and enthusiastic Music Teacher to lead music education across various grade levels.
- The successful candidate will inspire students through engaging lessons, practical performance sessions, and creative activities that foster appreciation for music in all its forms.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver structured music lessons in line with the Nigerian and British curricula
- Teach students how to read music, play instruments, and understand musical theory and history
- Identify and support students with exceptional musical talents
- Incorporate digital tools and audio-visual materials to enhance learning
- Participate in school programs, meetings, and extra-curricular activities
- Organize and prepare students for school performances, concerts, and special events
- Encourage creative expression through singing, instrumental practice, and composition
- Manage and maintain music instruments and classroom resources
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Music Education, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in a school setting
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work with students of varying skill levels and backgrounds
- Creativity, patience, and passion for music and teaching.
- Proficiency in at least one musical instrument
- Strong knowledge of music theory, composition, and performance techniques
Salary
N70,000 – N100,000 net monthly.
