Collate all HSE observations and maintain the register for a daily unsafe acts and unsafe conditions inspection and reports.<\/li>\n<li>Deliver HSE induction for new employees and visitors. Also, make HSE presentations to individuals or groups of employees\/managers.<\/li>\n<li>Plan safe working practices and make necessary changes.<\/li>\n<li>Organise workplace inspection and track closeout of observed gaps.<\/li>\n<li>Maintain the PTW register as well as other HSE logs. Conducting PTW audits.<\/li>\n<li>Keep up to date with current health and safety legislation. Local and international, as applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in incidents\/accidents investigation report. Making recommendations following accidents\/incidents to prevent recurrence.<\/li>\n<li>Participate in and undertake risk assessments and job hazard analysis exercises. Ensure the control measures are implemented as stated.<\/li>\n<li>Identify potential hazards and determine ways of reducing risks.<\/li>\n<li>Engage with relevant regulatory authorities and contractors on HSE matters.<\/li>\n<li>Supervise contracted and in-house jobs for safety compliance.<\/li>\n<li>Organise, attend and take minutes of meetings during health and safety meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate toolbox talks and other safety meetings and training programs.<\/li>\n<li>Lead the enforcement of HSE procedures, policies and standards to the workforce across the plant and all work sites.<\/li>\n<li>Compile HSE statistics and reports on a weekly and monthly basis.<\/li>\n<li>Keep up to date with developments within the health and safety profession.<\/li>\n<li>Act as the focal person for the management of PPE provided for Kano and keep track of issued PPE.<\/li>\n<li>Raise requisitions for HSE materials and services as well as make reservations for material issuance from the store through SAP.<\/li>\n<li>Perform and assume other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the immediate supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor&#8217;s Degree in a relevant field.<\/li>\n<li>Minimum of three (3) years&#8217; experience in Health and Safety.<\/li>\n<li>HSE Qualification, such as HSE Level 1-3 or NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent.<\/li>\n<li>An advantage if the candidate is a member of the Institute of Safety Professionals of Nigeria (ISPON).<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of local legislation (e.g., Factories Act\/NMDPRA environmental and safety regulations).<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in all Microsoft Applications.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent written and verbal communication skills.<\/li>\n<li>Good organisation and document management skills.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Must have skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Regulatory knowledge<\/li>\n<li>Safety audits and inspections<\/li>\n<li>Risk assessment<\/li>\n<li>Emergency response<\/li>\n<li>Training<\/li>\n<li>Communication<\/li>\n<li>Attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Organization<\/li>\n<li>Collaboration<\/li>\n<li>Problem-Solving.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"application-method\" style=\"margin-top:10px; color: #069;\" class=\"mag-b ts-18 bm-t-0 bm-b-5 \"><b>Method of Application <\/b><\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"mag-b bm-b-30\">\n<p>Interested and qualified candidates should send their CV to:<strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>humanresource@wellfluidservices.com<\/strong>\u00a0using the job title as the subject of the mail.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Job Type Full Time Qualification BA\/BSc\/HND Experience 3 years Location Rivers City Port Harcourt Job Field Safety and Environment \/ HSE\u00a0 HSE Officer at Well Fluid Services Limited HSE Officer Responsibilities Make regular site inspections.
