{"id":28815,"date":"2025-12-20T12:59:54","date_gmt":"2025-12-20T12:59:54","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.jobsafric.com\/nigeria\/research-analyst-at-rand-merchant-bank-rmb\/"},"modified":"2025-12-20T12:59:54","modified_gmt":"2025-12-20T12:59:54","slug":"research-analyst-at-rand-merchant-bank-rmb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.indeed.com.ng\/nigeria\/research-analyst-at-rand-merchant-bank-rmb\/","title":{"rendered":"Research Analyst at Rand Merchant Bank (RMB)"},"content":{"rendered":"<ul class=\"job-key-info\">\n<li><span class=\"jkey-title\">Job Type<\/span> <span class=\"jkey-info\">Full Time<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"jkey-title\">Qualification<\/span> <span class=\"jkey-info\">BA\/BSc\/HND , MBA\/MSc\/MA<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"jkey-title\">Experience<\/span> <span class=\"jkey-info\">5 years<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"jkey-title\">Location<\/span> <span class=\"jkey-info\">Lagos<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span class=\"jkey-title\">Job Field<\/span> <span class=\"jkey-info\">Data, Business Analysis and AI\u00a0 , Real Estate\u00a0<\/span>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<h1>\n<p>                \t\tResearch Analyst at Rand Merchant Bank (RMB)<br \/>\n            \t\t<\/h1>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"mag-b \" id=\"job1109438\">\n<p>            Research Analyst <\/p>\n<\/h2>\n<p><\/p>\n<div class=\"job-details\">\n<ul>\n<li>To provide independent and high-impact macroeconomic, sectoral, and market research to inform investment decisions, enhance origination efforts, support clients\u2019 decision-making and strengthen RMBN\u2019s thought leadership position in the Nigerian market.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilities<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The successful candidate will be responsible for:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conducting in-depth macroeconomic, financial market, and sectoral research to support RMBN\u2019s credit, investment banking, markets, and treasury businesses.<\/li>\n<li>Developing and maintaining economic models, forecasts, and databases tracking key indicators (GDP, inflation, exchange rates, interest rates, fiscal metrics, commodity prices, etc.).<\/li>\n<li>Preparing timely research publications \u2014 including economic updates, market reports, thematic reports, and investment briefs \u2014 with clear, actionable insights where applicable.<\/li>\n<li>Undertaking analysis, sector mapping, and policy impact assessments relevant to clients and strategic sectors (e.g., infrastructure, energy, telecommunications, agriculture, manufacturing, and financial services).<\/li>\n<li>Supporting senior management and coverage teams with analytical input for client pitches and investor briefings.<\/li>\n<li>Monitoring global and regional trends, identifying risks and opportunities for RMBN and its clients.<\/li>\n<li>Liaising with regulators, MDAs, and data agencies to ensure data accuracy and regulatory insight.<\/li>\n<li>Ensuring rigorous data integrity and consistency across research outputs.<\/li>\n<li>Implementing best practices in analytical methodology, visualization, and presentation.<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the development of RMBN\u2019s thought leadership through participation in external forums, media engagements, and industry events.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrating a commitment to continuous personal improvement and encouraging the same in others.<\/li>\n<li>Building and sustaining collaborative working relationships with relevant peers and stakeholders to achieve productivity synergies across the bank.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Experience &amp; Qualifications<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A Bachelor\u2019s Degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, or related quantitative discipline.<\/li>\n<li>A Master\u2019s degree, CFA\/FRM certification, or progress toward same is advantageous.<\/li>\n<li>At least 5 years of work experience in macroeconomic or sector research, investment banking, asset management, or policy research environment.<\/li>\n<li>Demonstrable experience producing professional-grade research reports, models, and market commentaries.<\/li>\n<li>Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and analytical tools.<\/li>\n<li>Strong understanding of Nigeria\u2019s macroeconomic and financial market dynamics, regulatory frameworks, and sectoral drivers.<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of macroeconomic and market dynamics in key West African markets, a plus.<\/li>\n<li>Working knowledge of French is an advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>General Competencies:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong quantitative and qualitative research capabilities.<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in economic modeling, data interpretation, and scenario analysis.<\/li>\n<li>Exceptional business writing and data visualization skills; able to distill complex insights into clear narratives.<\/li>\n<li>Confident presenter \u2014 comfortable engaging technical, external or senior audiences.<\/li>\n<li>Deep awareness of market trends, and investment implications as well as ability to translate research into actionable commercial insights.<\/li>\n<li>Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality outputs under pressure.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborative mindset and strong ethical grounding.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<p><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"application-method\" style=\"margin-top:10px;
