development, machine learning research, product engineering, and client success.<\/li>\n<li>The role involves refining complex One Health datasets into model\u2011ready signals, developing prototypes and tools, and translating real\u2011world insights into platform features that strengthen GGHN\u2019s AI\u2011enabled systems.<\/li>\n<li>The Advisor\/Specialist maintains tight feedback loops across GGHN teams to ensure that partners and clients derive maximum value from AI\u2011driven solutions, while upholding responsible, ethical, and inclusive AI practices.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Responsibilties<\/strong><br \/>\nCoordination of Applied AI, Data Engineering, and Digital Innovation Activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Reports to the Organisational Team Lead and serves as the focal point for Applied AI across GGHN.<\/li>\n<li>Leads the implementation of AI, machine learning, and digital innovation activities, ensuring alignment with GGHN strategy, project goals, and donor expectations.<\/li>\n<li>Maintains a collaborative practice with internal and external stakeholders involved in data, digital health, and AI-driven program delivery.<\/li>\n<li>Monitors progress, identifies technical challenges, and implements corrective actions to ensure high\u2011quality AI and data engineering outputs.<\/li>\n<li>Ensures required resources\u2014including datasets, compute environments, tools, and documentation\u2014are available for AI development and deployment.<\/li>\n<li>Represents GGHN at technical AI, digital health, and innovation forums, meetings, and stakeholder engagements.<\/li>\n<li>Advocates for responsible, ethical, and inclusive AI practices within GGHN and across partner ecosystems.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Mode of Evaluation:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Quarterly and annual AI\/innovation work plans and achievement reports<\/li>\n<li>&gt;85% of planned AI and digital innovation activities completed with documented outputs<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ensure AI\u2011Enabled Solutions Are Functional, Scalable, and Available Across All Target Use Cases:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>AI and data engineering pipelines are established, functional, and maintained across all relevant program areas.<\/li>\n<li>Data sources, datasets, and signals are identified, cleaned, and transformed into model\u2011ready formats.<\/li>\n<li>Each AI solution or model has:<\/li>\n<li>An annually updated technical strategy and implementation plan<\/li>\n<li>Documentation of data flows, model architecture, and deployment processes<\/li>\n<li>Standard operating procedures (SOPs), job aids, and user guides<\/li>\n<li>Engineering and product teams have the necessary resources to build, test, deploy, and monitor AI models.<\/li>\n<li>AI tools and prototypes are used to generate insights, support decision\u2011making, and improve program performance.<\/li>\n<li>AI systems incorporate user feedback, ethical safeguards, and continuous improvement mechanisms.<\/li>\n<li>Hosts interactive workshops, demos, and trainings for internal teams, partners, and government stakeholders on AI use cases.<\/li>\n<li>Builds networks of technical collaborators, leverages digital platforms for engagement, and develops materials to increase awareness and adoption of AI solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Conducts outreach to identify new datasets, use cases, and opportunities for AI\u2011driven impact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Provide Mentoring, Coaching, and Supportive Supervision \u2013 Applied AI Technical Assistance Provided Quarterly:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Conducts assessments of data quality, model performance, and adherence to AI development protocols.<\/li>\n<li>Leads modular training sessions (2\u20133 hours max) for staff on AI concepts, data literacy, ML workflows, and responsible AI practices.<\/li>\n<li>Provides hands\u2011on mentorship to interns, fellows, and staff working on AI, data science, or digital innovation tasks.<\/li>\n<li>Facilitates regular technical review meetings to discuss model outputs, challenges, and best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Assists in developing and implementing technical protocols for data ingestion, model training, deployment, and monitoring.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Research, Learning, and Development:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Actively contributes as a key member of the Digital Technology &amp; Innovation Unit, participating in daily activities to ensure smooth operations.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in the design and implementation of research activities related to AI, One Health, and digital innovation.<\/li>\n<li>Uses continuous quality improvement (CQI) to refine AI approaches, tools, and methods based on new insights and advancements.<\/li>\n<li>Builds and tests prototypes to maintain technical proficiency and accelerate innovation.<\/li>\n<li>Supports the development and facilitation of digital health, AI, and data science workshops.<\/li>\n<li>Stays informed about global trends in AI, ML, digital health, and One Health intelligence.<\/li>\n<li>Participates in program, departmental, and cross\u2011team meetings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Documentation, Reporting, and Dissemination:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Ensures detailed documentation of technical processes, datasets, model development steps, and outcomes using standardized formats.<\/li>\n<li>Provides reports for internal teams, donors, government agencies, and partners, summarizing progress, challenges, achievements, and lessons learned.<\/li>\n<li>Conducts analysis of model outputs and data to generate insights, dashboards, case studies, and best\u2011practice briefs.<\/li>\n<li>Organizes and participates in workshops, webinars, and technical forums to disseminate findings and promote adoption of AI solutions.<\/li>\n<li>Gathers and integrates feedback from dissemination activities to improve future AI development and reporting.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Support Other Digital Technology &amp; Innovation Activities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Supports cross\u2011departmental digital transformation initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>Assists teams in integrating AI insights into program design, monitoring, and decision\u2011making.<\/li>\n<li>Collaborates with other units to ensure AI solutions are aligned with broader organizational goals and accessible to end\u2011users.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Perform Any Other Function(s) Assigned by the Line Manager, Project Leads, or Organizational Directors\/<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>\n<p>Executes additional tasks as required to support GGHN\u2019s mission and strategic objectives.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Requirements<\/strong><br \/>\nEducation\/ Qualification:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s or Master\u2019s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Public Health Informatics, or related field.<\/li>\n<li>Prior experience in AI\/ML, digital health, or data engineering strongly preferred.<\/li>\n<li>Experience providing capacity\u2011building or technical assistance at individual and organizational levels.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with health, One Health, or development-sector datasets is an added advantage.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Technical Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong proficiency in Python, R, or similar languages.<\/li>\n<li>Experience with ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit\u2011learn).<\/li>\n<li>Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).<\/li>\n<li>Understanding of data engineering workflows and ETL pipelines.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to build prototypes, dashboards, or lightweight tools.<\/li>\n<li>Knowledge of health, epidemiology, or One Health datasets is a plus.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Professional Skills:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strong analytical and problem\u2011solving abilities.<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills, especially in translating technical concepts for non\u2011technical audiences.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams.<\/li>\n<li>Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Abilities:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Organized and capable of working independently within a matrix supervision model.<\/li>\n<li>Skilled in supervising and mentoring junior staff, interns, and fellows.<\/li>\n<li>Strong planning, execution, and monitoring skills for AI\/innovation work plans.<\/li>\n<li>Ability to interpret technical materials, reports, and documentation.<\/li>\n<li>Capable of maintaining strong professional relationships with partners and stakeholders.<\/li>\n<li>Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and documentation tools<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Confidentiality:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This position involves access to confidential information, including sensitive datasets, proprietary algorithms, and GGHN\u2019s business practices.<\/li>\n<li>Strict adherence to data protection and confidentiality policies is required.<\/li>\n<li>Unauthorized disclosure of sensitive information is prohibited.<\/li>\n<li>All staff must report potential data breaches or concerns immediately.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Training and Certification:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>GGHN Ethics Certification, NHREC &amp;
